Achinta Off to Michigan to Set a Piece on Young Ballet Dancers

I’m so excited to fly to Michigan tomorrow morning bright and early (send me good traffic vibes, LA).  I’m honored to be setting a Bollywood piece on a group of talented dancers from the Young People’s Ballet Theatre in Flint.  My family/friends from the Grand Rapids Ballet, Nick and Laura Schultz, asked me to come out and choreograph the grand finale of their student group, and I of course, happily accepted.  Can’t wait to work with this young dancers, and to show you all the finished product.  Look out for my tweets and instagrams all weekend!

Grand Finales & All That Jazz

What a fabulous Los Angeles Dance Festival it was this year!  We were so honored to perform alongside LA’s ROCKING DANCE COMPANIES, and so proud to be a part of this incredible community of dancers.  Catch a snippet of our new piece, “the lion. the dragon.,” which served as the grand finale in the Friday, April 15, 2016 evening performances at the beautiful Diavolo space near downtown LA.

Brokus Project should be commended for a job well done, as should, of course, the outstanding choreographers and performers throughout the weekend.  AND there’s more: Classes will continue as part of the LADF April 23 and 24, including Blue13’s own Jon Paul teaching a Bollywood/Contemporary Indian class AND AUDITION CLASS FOR BLUE13.
