Blue13 Artistic Director, Achinta S. McDaniel choreographs not only for the company but also for the film, TV and commercial industries in Hollywood, specializing in Bollywood dance, Bhangra, contemporary, jazz, and more. You may have seen her work in The Strokes Threat of Joy Music Video, on New Girl, Speechless, in Madden, Snapple, and Heineken commercials, and more. Blue13’s Achinta created some pretty unique and incredible concepts in June for her brother’s big wedding in Greenwich, Connecticut! Never one to be part of the status quo, McDaniel created a Beatles song Baraat (the groom’s traditional procession filled with dancing family and friends en route to the wedding), with choreographed moves, live drumming and a stilt walker.
