Compensation: $25 per hour
Role and Responsibilities:
As the Company Manager at Blue13 Dance Company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations. Upon joining our team, Blue13 will provide comprehensive training in all areas necessary for the job. The primary responsibilities will revolve around managing administrative tasks, overseeing contracts with artists, presenters, vendors, and clients, and maintaining positive relationships with partners and contractors. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and strategic thinking abilities. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our talented team, contributing to the growth and success of the organization.
- Administrative Operations:
- Maintain the office and handle routine administrative tasks.
- Organize company documents, records, and digital assets.
- Coordinate schedules and assist in arranging meetings and events.
- Maintain a calendar of grant application deadlines and confirmations of awards.
- Production administration support (such as coordinating rental requests from the artistic team).
- Contract Management:
- Create and manage contracts with artists for performances and projects.
- Handle contracts with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of services and products.
- Review and negotiate terms and agreements with contractors.
- Communication and Networking:
- Liaise with partners, collaborators, and contractors to foster strong relationships.
- Represent Blue13 Dance Company at various events, fostering positive connections.
- Financial Assistance:
- Provide support with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as expense tracking.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Proven ability to work diligently and independently to manage day-to-day operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset to overcome challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build positive relationships.
- Prior experience in bookkeeping and/or the performing arts sector is advantageous but not required.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite) and tech-savviness.
- An enthusiastic and proactive attitude, willing to learn and adapt to new situations.
