Professional Dancers & Apprenticeship Audition

- Professional Dancers Female & Male, 18+ with experience in multiple genres; must have technical training and performance experience in modern, contemporary, and ballet at the minimum. Experience with Indian genres a plus, though not required. and - Pre-Professional Dancers (High School & College Level) Female & Male, 14-24, for summer/seasonal apprenticeship. Dancers must have a demonstrated dedication to the performing arts and experience with modern, contemporary, and ballet, and an interest in Bollywood. Under 18 must have parent/guardian consent and presence at audition.
*All Auditioning Dancers should prepare a 1-Minute Solo in Strongest Genre, with Music on CD or iPod.
*Prior to audition, please submit resume/bio and headshot to auditions@blue13dance.com, and note: "June 3 2012 Audition" in the subject line.
Contracted dancers receive many seasonal opportunities to perform on television, in film and commercials, and in live local and touring theatrical dance productions. Additional private and corporate events are consistently booked throughout the season. Teaching and choreography opportunities are also available to dancers, along with free classes with director, Achinta S. McDaniel at studios throughout Los Angeles. Professional dancers receive pay for performances.
INFORMATION
Since 1999, blue13 has performed on stages all over the world, as well as in commercials, television, live events, and film. The work is dramatic and high-energy, experimenting with international dance techniques like hip hop, modern, Bhangra, Bollywood, ballet and modern dance to create contemporary dance theatre deeply rooted in story-telling and fueled by a diverse cast and multi-genre influences. blue13 dance company has recently been added to Pentacle's Gallery Artists roster, an internationally renowned representation service. Director, Achinta S. McDaniel is a choreographer represented by DDO Artists Agency. blue13 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dance ensemble. www.blue13dance.com

Blue13 dance company & Dance Conservatory of Pasadena invite you to a Summertime benefit celebrating dance for a great cause, The Kidney Foundation.
A fun-filled Bollywood Bazaar fills the outdoor space with Henna, face-painting, the No Tomatoes Food Truck, Bar, Drinks, Raffle, Vendors selling Indian and Western wares, and of course we roll up the garage doors to present fabulous dance performances by blue13 and the hottest dance companies of all styles from LA.
Family by day and party by night!
At 7pm the event turns into a Bollywood Bhangra dance party with bar, hookah lounge, food, continued performances, and an outdoor dance floor shaking with the sounds of the city's Best DJ's! Save the date! Tickets available soon.
