Jon Paul serves as Choreography Assistant for Blue13, and has been a principal dancer with the ensemble since 2010. Jon Paul began dancing professionally in the Midwest, where he co-founded and choreographed for 625 Beat Street Dance Company. He has worked with artists such as Marques Houston, Lance Bass, Radio Disney’s Justin Stein, and Olympic Medalist Ashley Wagner. Jon Paul has danced commercially for Oscar Meyer, E3 Gaming Convention, and MTV Spring Break. His choreography has been featured in productions such as The Wiz and Godspell!, as well as for Honda and BCBGMAXAZRIA. Jon Paul also teaches classes throughout Los Angeles, as well as workshops and masterclasses around the country.
Bridget Wilson began dancing at the young age of two and immediately fell in love. Since then she has been training in styles such as; ballet, modern, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip-hop, and ballroom. She started competing when she was 4 years old, always eager to gain more knowledge and improve her techniques and movement. Bridget assisted her modern teacher at her home studio for three years because of her hard work ethic, taking up to six modern classes and three ballet classes a week. She has won many scholarships to travel all over the United States to perform in shows with choreographers such as Cris Judd, also to attend summer intensives featuring Sonya Tayeh and Chris Jacobsen. Strongly dedicated to this art form, she found a love for teaching dance as well. Bridget joined Blue13 in 2012, and serves both as principal dancer and choreography assistant.
Arun Mathai trained in Bharatanatyam at Kala Vandana Dance Center with his guru Smt. Sundara Swaminathan, who was a disciple of Smt. Rukmini Devi Arundale at the Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts. Arun continued his advanced Bharatanatyam training under guru Smt. KP Yasodha, at Kalanjali Dances of India, Chennai. He has also been fortunate enough to study with Smt. Bragha Bessell, Sri Hari Padman, and Smt. Rama Vaidyanathan. Upon matriculation at the University of Southern California he began exploring other styles of dance, including tap, jazz, hip hop, bhangra, garba, and bollywood. Arun joined Blue13 in 2005 and soon thereafter became a principal dancer with the company. Various leading roles with the company include Shah Rukh in Karishma; the Brown Bunny Rabbit in Paheliyan: The Story of Alice; Jai in Into the Bollywoods; and Romeo in Fire and Powder.
Rieka Toya is from Nagano, Japan. She has been dancing since she was four years old, with ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, and salsa styles her specialty. She received her BA in Dance Performance through the Burchman Award Scholarship at Southern Utah University. Rieka taught children’s ballet classes professionally in Japan for a number of years prior to joining Blue13 in 2009 to begin her United States dance career.
Clinton Kyles of Go 2 Talent Agency is originally a native of Odum, Georgia, and has performed as a principal dancer of Blue13 for two years. He grew up studying music and dance as equal passions- both flautist and technical dancer. His background ranges from ballet, tap, and jazz to symphonic concertos. Touring has led to performances at legendary venues like The Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Germany with Diavolo Dance Theatre, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Alvin Ailey New York City. His commercial appearances include shows like Fox TV’s hit series “New Girl”, and trueTV’s “Fake Off.” Additionally, he is a proud Director and Choreographer with Dark Tide Productions and Sypher Arts Studios; his works include Labryinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball, America’s largest and longest running masquerade, seasonal performances for The Los Angeles Museum of Natural History, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and expositions across the country.
David Matthew Rodriguez is a wild, free spirited soul from Americas Heartland. In his first year with Blue13, he has generated new energy and personality on and off the stage. Rodriguez graduated with a BFA in Dance from the University of Kansas and moved to Los Angeles thereafter. Within four months, he was signed with Go2Talent Agency and auditions for tours and concert shows year-round. Rodriguez has worked on music videos, a short film, trains under top LA choreographers, is a former member of Balta Monkiki’s, “The Badgers Kompany,” and teaches his own class in Santa Monica. He is overjoyed to share the art and beauty of dance with fellow Blue13 dancers.
Shoshana grew up training at ballet schools in San Diego, attended summer programs at Long Beach Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Joffrey Ballet School, and The Next Stage Project NYC, and then studied the art as a dance major at UC Santa Barbara. Her professional experience commenced with Blue13 Dance Company in the 2013 world premiere of “Fire & Powder.” She has since been a member of companies including California Contemporary Ballet, Get Down/Pick Up, IsadoraNOW, and City Ballet of Los Angeles. Shoshana cannot imagine her life without dance and is beyond excited to be working with Blue13 once again.
Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Brittany Davis began her career as a competitive gymnast and dancer at age 3, and through the age of 13, she studied all forms of dance (ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap) at Phoenix Gymnastics & Dance Academy. At 16 she joined and studied in the Young Scorpious Dance theatre, where she performed and choreographed her own work. In her late teens Davis also found her passion for break dancing, battling and performing solo all across the US, and gaining her skills in the underground world. At age 22, Davis moved to Los Angeles to work in the commercial world, performing in such shows as the American Music Awards and Carnival for Shane Sparks, as well as finding her individuality as an artist on stage. As a recent addition to Blue13, Davis shares her passion, love and experience with a new audience.
After falling into dance in his teens, Kirby Harrell enrolled at LA Valley College, training in Ballet, Jazz, Modern Dance, and Dance for Film and Stage. From there, he was accepted into the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, where he studied Flamenco, Dunham, Horton, Graham, African and Hip Hop. Harrell has performed with the Academy in three Concerts, one Gala, three music videos, and the classic BET televised production, The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker with Raven Symone, and Ms. Debbie Allen herself. Crowned Mr. Hollywood Burlesque 2015, Harrell has also performed nationally with professional Modern, Samba, Flamenco, Burlesque and Bollywood Dance companies such as, Blue13 Dance Company, Daurden Contemporary Dance Theatre, Samba Samba, and Louise Reichlin and Dancers. He has danced for music artists Elvis Crespo, Pattie Brooks, and Ricky Rebel. Harrell’s choreography has been featured in film, (CockTales), TV (TengoTalento, Mucho Talento) and live in many shows and revues in Los Angeles.
Adrianna Vieux is a dancer from Long Beach, California, trained in a variety styles, from jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, and pointe, to jazz funk, hip-hop, and Bollywood. Adrianna started dancing at the age of 3. At the age of 12 her grandmother signed her up to be a part of MMSDance where she study under Bryana Verner and Cynthia Howell for 5 years. Adrianna also attended Stephens Fame Middle for the Arts and Renaissance High school for the arts, and gained a certificate from International Dance Academy in Hollywood. Adrianna is currently an apprentice in Blue13, also training in Hollywood in a variety of techniques.
